Note that a 3rd party plug-in or connector that supports the URL’s scheme may be required for the import to succeed. Depending on your workflow, this may mean that downloaded pictures will need to be replaced before going to print. Importing an image with a URL is currently similar to copy-and-pasting an image from another application: InDesign will only store a low-resolution preview in the document. Īccepts URLs in addition to DOS, Windows, UNC, Apple HFS, and POSIX-style paths to allow the import of internet-based pictures and text.InCatalog’s About dialog now shows which slice of the binary was loaded as part of its version (as “(Intel)” or “(Apple)”). Installs a Universal binary for InDesign 2021 on macOS with native support for both Intel and, when used with InDesign 2021 16.3 (or later), Apple silicon (M1/ARM64) processors. This release adds URL-based picture imports and supports Apple silicon. To clarify, I ran Zii on the programs I downloaded, including InDesign, but I only tested LuLu on InDesign.Release: InCatalog 2.26 for InDesign CS6, CC2019-2021 You can find LuLu info on the second pinned thread. Because the line is blocked, I no longer have any "Tips" dialog boxes or images though, just a heads up, it will be a grey opening screen with just "Start New" and "Open." It seems to work fine for now, no crashing yet. I ONLY selected to block the InDesign app (actual app, not folder), as Photoshop/Illustrator/LR seem to function fine for me right now. I uninstalled all of my InDesign attempts, re-installed 16.1, and opened LuLu. As a last attempt, I searched for "indesign" in this reddit and found someone who recommended using LuLu. I'm in the same position, using M1 MBA on OS 11.3.1.
